Emirates is taking its inflight meal preordering service to the next level. Initially launched on UK routes, the service got a thumbs-up from travelers. Now, it’s expanding to include European cities like Warsaw, Venice, Rome, and even far-off places like Seychelles and Mauritius.
How Does the Preordering Work?
If you’re flying Business Class, you can pick your main course between 14 days and 24 hours before your flight takes off. This not only ensures you get the meal you want but also helps cut down on food waste. You can check out the menu on Emirates.com or the Emirates app. The menu features a range of regionally inspired dishes made from local ingredients. For example, you can opt for chocolate hazelnut pancakes for breakfast or beef tenderloin for lunch.
Tech-Savvy Service
Once you’re onboard, the cabin crew will already know your choice. They use digital devices to see what you’ve preordered and serve it to you. This is just one part of Emirates’ tech-forward approach to customer service. The airline also offers website and app check-in, digital boarding passes, and even lets you manage your itinerary online. You can also sign up for Skywards to get free Wi-Fi messaging while you’re in the air.
More to Come
Emirates plans to bring this service to even more global routes in the upcoming months. So, if your city isn’t on the list yet, just hang tight. It might be added soon.
Emirates is expanding its meal preordering service to more cities after a successful launch in the UK. Business Class passengers can now preorder their meals on routes to various European cities and even Seychelles and Mauritius. The service is part of Emirates’ broader tech-focused approach to enhance customer experience.
