Emirates Introduces Refurbished Boeing 777 on Six U.S. Routes

Emirates is expanding its U.S. services with the introduction of refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft on six routes. These updated planes will feature Emirates’ signature Premium Economy class and refreshed cabins across all four classes: First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. Passengers can expect an elevated experience starting from November 2024, with rollouts continuing through early 2025.

The retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft will offer a new level of luxury and comfort, particularly with the debut of Premium Economy on additional U.S. routes. This cabin class, previously available only on select routes, will now serve more customers with its spacious seating and enhanced amenities. The new Boeing 777 aircraft also include an updated Business Class featuring a 1-2-1 seat configuration for maximum privacy and comfort, offering fully flat beds and personal mini-bars for a more enjoyable journey.

Passengers across all cabins on the retrofitted 777s will enjoy refreshed interiors featuring updated color schemes and materials, from carpets and wall panels to elegant wood finishes. These design upgrades complement the luxury Emirates is known for, ensuring that passengers travel in comfort and style, regardless of cabin class.

U.S. Route Deployment Schedule

The rollout of these refreshed aircraft will follow a phased schedule, starting with Chicago on November 1, 2024. Emirates will introduce the retrofitted Boeing 777 three times weekly on flights EK 235 and EK 236, increasing to daily service by November 22. Next, Boston will welcome the new aircraft starting December 10, 2024, on flights EK 237 and EK 238, with daily service commencing December 18.

The aircraft will also begin service to Dallas Fort Worth on January 9, 2025, with three weekly flights expanding to daily from January 15. Seattle will receive the new aircraft on January 24, 2025, and flights to Newark, linked to Athens, will debut on February 10, 2025. Finally, the Miami-Bogotá route will be served by the refurbished Boeing 777 starting on February 19, 2025, with daily service launching from March 1, 2025.

With these updated aircraft, Emirates will offer Premium Economy on flights to and from ten of its twelve U.S. gateways by February 2025. In addition to U.S. routes, the new class will be available on flights to Bogotá and São Paulo in Latin America, further expanding its reach. Emirates’ popular Premium Economy seats will now be featured on both Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft flying to 12 destinations in the Americas.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about the expansion of Premium Economy to more U.S. cities. “With the success and popularity of Premium Economy on routes like New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston, we look forward to bringing a new level of comfort and privacy to more cities with our refreshed cabins on the Boeing 777s,” Kazim said.

Global Rollout of Premium Economy

By the end of 2024, Emirates will offer its Premium Economy class on 27 global routes, utilizing 48 aircraft across its fleet, including the Boeing 777, A380, and A350. Customers flying beyond Dubai can also enjoy Premium Economy’s luxury and comfort on connecting flights to cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, and Singapore.

The introduction of Premium Economy and the continued rollout of refreshed interiors across Emirates’ network solidifies the airline’s commitment to providing a superior travel experience. Customers can now book these enhanced flights through Emirates’ website, mobile app, or their preferred travel agents.
