After roughly a decade, Emirates is back in the Philippines to hire more cabin crew! This comes after Emirates held two recruitment events in Manila. However, this time, Emirates, together with their official recruitment agency partner in the Philippines, IPAMS, will be headed to Cebu to recruit cabin crew from the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) area.
Here’s the thing: the Emirates VisMin recruitment will be strictly for residents of the VisMin area. Also, you will need to apply online first via https://ipams.com/jobseeker/job/8562.
However, you would need to apply fast because deadline for submission of applications is until July 14 only! So if you have dreaming to become an Emirates cabin crew, this is your chance!
Increase in Salary
According to the information on their website, Emirates cabin crew initially earn approximately AED 10,170.00 per month (equivalent to PHP 159,395.62, though exchange rates may vary). However, this figure is outdated as it does not account for the recent increases in compensation and benefits that took effect on July 1.
The updates include a four percent increase in flying and productivity pay. Additionally, all employees will benefit from a 10-15% increase in their housing allowance, depending on their position within the company. Details of the new basic salary and fixed allowances will be outlined in a contractual adjustment letter set to be distributed on July 22, 2024.
Emirates Group is also enhancing other employee benefits. Maternity leave will now be 90 days, up from 60 days, and paternity leave will increase from five days to 10 days. New mothers will also receive two hours for nursing breaks, an increase from one hour.
Furthermore, employees in grades 1 to 5 will no longer need to pay their life insurance premiums as these will be covered by the company. Starting September 1, 2024, improvements will be made to long-term sick leave benefits for employees of certain grades. The education support allowance will also see a 10 percent increase starting in September.
