Under this new codeshare, Etihad Airways’ customers will gain convenient access to 12 Southeast European destinations via Air Serbia’s hub in Belgrade, including nine new destinations extending Etihad’s network. This arrangement is set to simplify the travel process, offering passengers the ease of making a single booking for their journey, seamless check-in, and the convenience of having their baggage directly transferred to their final destination.
For those flying with Etihad, the partnership opens up Air Serbia’s network, providing smooth connections from Etihad’s gateways in cities like Athens, Milan, Rome, and Vienna. This collaboration ensures that passengers have more choices and flexibility, enhancing their travel options across Europe.

Jurriaan Stelder, VP of Alliances and Industry Affairs at Etihad, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the benefits for Etihad’s guests. “This partnership further expands our codeshare network and provides our guests with convenient access to 12 of Air Serbia’s leisure and business destinations,” said Stelder. He also extended a warm welcome to Air Serbia’s customers traveling to Abu Dhabi, inviting them to explore the diverse attractions the city offers, from stunning beaches and cultural landmarks to theme parks and serene desert landscapes.
Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s General Manager of Commercial and Strategy, echoed the positive sentiment, emphasizing the enhanced service reach and connectivity options the partnership brings to Air Serbia’s passengers. “This translates into more choices, flexibility, and convenience for those who choose Air Serbia for their journeys,” Rupić noted, highlighting the ease of booking connecting flights and the simplicity of checking in just once for their entire trip.
An exciting aspect of this codeshare agreement is the integration of the Etihad Guest loyalty program, which serves both airlines. Members can earn or redeem Etihad Guest miles across the extensive networks of Etihad Airways and Air Serbia, enjoying the benefits of their tier status.
