Flynas Firms Up 30 Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft

Airbus and Saudi Arabia-based airline flynas have made waves in the aviation industry with their recent deal. The Paris Air Show 2023 was abuzz when the airlines announced the confirmed order of 30 Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The specifics of the order, such as the exact type of aircraft, remain undisclosed, but the addition bolsters flynas’ order book to 120 A320neo family aircraft, which include 10 A321XLRs.

Key Figures in the Agreement

The Paris Air Show 2023 served as a grand platform for the announcement of the Airbus and flynas agreement. Many high-ranking executives graced the event. Christian Scherer, Airbus’ Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Head of International, and Bandar Almohanna, flynas’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director, took center stage during the announcement. Also in attendance were Saleh Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistic Service of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Alduailj, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia (GACA), and Ayed Aljeaid, the Chairman of the Board of NAS Holding, the parent company of flynas.

A Vision for the Future

CEO Almohanna expressed his satisfaction with the Airbus deal, noting the A320neo family’s unique benefits for passengers. Almohanna said, “As we continue to grow, receiving several awards for excellence in operations and customer services and invest in our offering, we are delighted to confirm our latest order with Airbus.” He added that the A320neo family offers “exceptional operational performance and environmental benefits, while helping us provide unique travel experiences at low-cost.”

Echoing Almohanna’s sentiment, Airbus CCO Scherer highlighted the economical factors, the extensive range, and a spacious cabin in the single-aisle segment that “have made the A320neo Family the preferred choice of airlines worldwide”, particularly among low-cost carriers. “We look forward to working with flynas as it develops its future fleet and presence in the fast-growing Saudi market,” he added.
