The economic viability of operating large, fuel-thirsty aircraft like the A380 under current market conditions is also a concern, especially with rising oil prices and global tensions.
Initially planned for a spring 2024 launch, Global Airlines has pushed back its start to the next 12 months. In the meantime, they plan to operate charter flights using their A380s, a model that even partner Hi Fly found challenging to sustain. A spokesperson for Global Airlines mentioned ongoing delays and supply chain issues that they are working to resolve.
