Korean Air is set to bridge Seoul and Taichung with seasonal charter flights, introducing a convenient connection between the bustling capital of South Korea and Taiwan’s vibrant second city. From May 2 to June 29, travelers will have the opportunity to explore the diverse attractions of Taichung, known for its natural beauty and cultural landmarks.

This new service will operate three times a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—providing a seamless travel experience for those looking to discover Taichung. Departing from Seoul Incheon at 3:30 pm, passengers will arrive in Taichung at 5:15 pm, ready to dive into the city’s offerings. The return journey takes off from Taichung at 6:50 pm, ensuring travelers land back in Seoul Incheon by 10:40 pm. A Boeing 737-8, featuring 146 seats split between eight in Prestige class and 138 in economy, will serve this route. Those interested can book their journey through Korean Air’s website, mobile app, or trusted travel agencies.

Taichung has emerged as a noteworthy destination for Korean travelers, spotlighted on various TV programs and social media. Its allure lies in its unique blend of natural and urban attractions. From the Gaomei Wetlands, often likened to the Uyuni Salt Flat of the East, to the serene beauty of Sun Moon Lake and the bustling Fengjia Night Market, Taichung offers experiences that cater to all types of travelers.
