Philippine Airlines (PAL) is celebrating its 82nd anniversary as it continues its journey towards transformation. The airline has been expanding its route network, introducing new products, and enhancing customer service to improve the travel experience of its passengers. PAL President and COO Capt. Stanley K. Ng said, “We are responding by ramping up flights, introducing routes to Australia and China, and developing exciting products and services that will bring value to our passengers.”
To elevate the passenger experience, PAL has launched several programs, including a refreshed look that will be visible on digital platforms and airports starting this month. PAL has also extended its anniversary seat sale until March 19, offering great deals on domestic and international flights.
PAL is expanding its flight route network, offering new non-stop flights from Kalibo to Seoul Incheon and directly to Perth, Australia. Additionally, it is building up to daily flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Jinjiang, and Xiamen, while increasing service to Beijing to six weekly flights in May. New island-hopper routes from Clark to Coron (Busuanga) and Boracay (Caticlan) in April are also expected to stimulate domestic tourism.
PAL is also upgrading its wide-body fleet and reactivating more aircraft that had been parked during the pandemic. By Q4 2023, its entire fleet of 75 aircraft is expected to be operational. The airline has also introduced a new Port-to-Door Service that allows cargo customers to have their shipments delivered to their doorsteps. PAL will open a new Mabuhay Lounge for international departures at Manila airport’s Terminal 1 later this year.
In addition to these programs, PAL has launched a MilesBack program, which allows passengers to earn miles by shopping through PAL’s partner merchants. It also reworked its customer service hub, YourPAL, allowing passengers to search for necessary information and chat or call for any flight needs or inquiries.
