United Airlines Reconnects New York/Newark and Tel Aviv

United Airlines is gearing up to reinstate its daily flights from New York/Newark to Tel Aviv, marking a significant step towards reviving essential passenger and cargo services that were put on hold last October. This move is a part of United’s broader strategy to reconnect vital international routes and support the recovery of global travel.

The resumption of services kicks off with the initial flights on March 2 and 4, making a brief stop in Munich. This detour ensures that all service providers align perfectly to facilitate seamless non-stop journeys between Newark and Tel Aviv. The brief pause in operations on March 3 and 5 is part of the plan to ensure a smooth transition to daily nonstop services, set to commence on March 6.

United’s decision to restart this route comes after an exhaustive safety analysis, which involved collaboration with security experts and government officials from both the United States and Israel. The airline also engaged with major unions, the Air Line Pilots Association, and the Association of Flight Attendants, to develop comprehensive safety protocols, ensuring that both crew and passengers are well-protected and informed.

As United Airlines eyes the future, it remains vigilant, ready to modify the schedule for the New York/Newark to Tel Aviv route as the situation evolves. The anticipation to double the daily Tel Aviv flights from Newark by as early as May reflects the airline’s optimism about the recovery of travel demand. Moreover, United is considering the revival of its Tel Aviv services from other major hubs, including San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare, starting this fall.
