AirAsia Philippines Gears Up for Holy Week Peak Season Travel

As the Holy Week celebration approaches, AirAsia Philippines is launching its alwaysREADY ngayong Semana Santa initiative. This Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility (CSSR) program aims to promote readiness and provide assistance to guests traveling to various provinces for this much-anticipated Catholic tradition.

AirAsia Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla personally welcomed guests arriving at NAIA Terminal 4 after conducting a routine inspection to ensure the safety, convenience, and hassle-free travels of AirAsia passengers. In anticipation of the influx of travelers heading to their respective provinces for the long weekend, AirAsia has allocated 12 check-in counters manned by well-trained ground staff to assist guests around the clock.

To further aid passengers, additional volunteers consisting of cabin crew trainees and interns have been deployed to assist at self-check-in kiosks and promote the use of mobile check-in through the airasia Super App. A Customer Happiness Booth has also been set up to conveniently address guests’ immediate rebooking concerns.

On top of our world’s best service, we are extremely humbled to fly our guests to the different destinations, with safety, convenience, and on-time performance (OTP) as our top priority.”

We are #alwaysREADY for our guests, making processes simple and effective through our digital platform, the airasia Super App,” added Isla.

Over 150,000 AirAsia guests are expected to travel to destinations outside Metro Manila during Holy Week. To assist guests, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline has also issued quick travel reminders via flyairasia.ph social media.

The alwaysREADY ngayong Semana Santa initiative, which runs from March 30 to April 10, 2023, is in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), and Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).

In a show of volunteerism, AirAsia CSSR partners like SIP Purified Water have also donated free bottled drinking water for guests to beat the summer heat. As the Holy Week festivities commence, AirAsia Philippines is going the extra mile to ensure that their guests have a smooth and enjoyable travel experience during this significant religious celebration.
