Cabin crew who are Master Degree holders and board passers

There is no specific college course required to become a flight attendant. Even if you haven’t taken any hospitality-related degrees, like as tourism, you can still work as cabin crew. While some airlines do allow undergrads, there are still many flight attendants who place a high value on their education. In fact, there are many Master Degree holders and board passers among cabin crew members. Consider how many registered nurses are now working as flight attendants. They are, indeed, board passers.

Many flight attendants complete their education while on the job. Some are working while flying in order to acquire a diploma, while others aim to earn a Masters Degree. In this situation, why did these folks become cabin crew instead of applying for a position as a manager or vice president in a large corporation?

Why not be flight attendant with an MBA?

First and foremost, it had to have been their dream job even before they started college. Second, as degree holders working as cabin crew, they saw a chance to apply their acquired knowledge and abilities to help them achieve their own life goals.

Aaron Ngui works as a flight attendant for Philippine Airlines. Apart from being one of the proprietors of the famed Mad Mark’s chain of restaurants located in excellent locations around Metro Manila, he also earned an MBA from Ateneo De Manila University. Being a flight steward has helped and shaped him to comprehend both ends of the spectrum, both as an employee of Philippine Airlines and as one of the owners of Mad Mark’s Creamery and Good Eats. Flying has allowed Aaron to see new trends in many nations, allowing him to better improve and innovate Mad Mark’s products, services, and operations.

Aaron is just one of several cabin crew members with an MBA.

Many have graduated with honors from the country’s top universities, including the University of the Philippines, Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University, the University of Asia and the Pacific, the University of Santo Tomas, Siliman University, Mapua, and others!

These people have their personal reasons and choices. Lets not judge.

Reach for your flight attendant dreams but don’t forget to give importance to your education

Airline cabin crew with a degree come from a variety of backgrounds. Some completed their studies in Medicine, Engineering, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Pre-Law, Marketing Communications, Commerce, and Nursing. Some are even studying while flying, receiving a Master’s degree in Education and Business. In fact, working as a cabin crew teaches you a lot since you get to learn from people from all walks of life. Think about working with an RN, an architecture graduate, a ComSci graduate, and a tourism graduate.

At the end, there is no particular course to take to become a cabin crew. Any course will do.

Please, however, do your best to complete your studies. I understand that some people may not have the financial means, but if you do, please invest in education. Make every effort to complete it. Make that one of your objectives. Go for it if you want to be one of the flight attendants that board passengers. If you want to continue your education while flying, why not? My salute to you whether you are flying to pay for your college education or to send someone to school.
