Emirates is Finally Hiring Cabin Crew in the Philippines

The long wait is over for many cabin crew aspirants! Yesterday, Industrial Personnel and Management Services Inc. (IPAMS) announced that Emirates is hiring cabin crew in the Philippines! This opportunity is for the cabin crew position, not for cabin services attendants (CSA). It is indeed rare for Emirates to hire again in the Philippines, making this a unique opportunity to join the world’s largest international airline.

IPAMS has scheduled an open house pre-screening on April 8, Monday, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, to be held at the IPAMS office located at 723 Aurora Blvd, Barangay Mariana, New Manila, Quezon City. Successful candidates from the pre-screening will be notified by IPAMS about the final screening with Emirates itself on April 19.

Emirates is renowned for its excellent work environment, compensation, and benefits. Moreover, successful applicants will be based in Dubai. Beyond providing outstanding care for their crew, Emirates ensures opportunities for growth within the company. The rarity of Emirates hiring cabin crew in the Philippines stems from the fact that many Filipino cabin crew members at Emirates tend to stay with the airline for extended periods.

However, before delving into the process outlined by IPAMS, I want to remind those considering leaving other airlines for this opportunity not to resort to Absence Without Leave (AWOL) when transferring. It’s crucial not to burn bridges with your previous employer, as you never know when you might need a reference or wish to return. Attempting to hide an AWOL episode by omitting it from your application will not work, as HR departments often check government records such as SSS, TIN, and PAGIBIG, where all your previous employment details are recorded. So, if you’re considering a move between airlines, do so properly and maintain a clean record. AWOL is never a solution.
