Emirates Unveils First Routes for New A350 Fleet

Starting September 15, 2024, Emirates will deploy its new A350 aircraft on selected routes, beginning with daily service to Bahrain. With 10 A350s joining its fleet by March 31, 2025, the airline will soon offer customers this latest cabin experience across nine destinations. Each A350 aircraft includes three cabin classes, providing 32 next-generation Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. Passengers will find the aircraft primarily serving short- to medium-haul destinations.

Destinations Served by the New A350

The A350’s first destinations include:

  1. Middle East and GCC: The inaugural flight will be to Bahrain (EK839/840) starting September 15. Another Bahrain service will be added from November 1. The aircraft will also begin flights to Kuwait (EK853/854) on September 16, and Muscat (EK866/867) starting December 1.
  2. West Asia: Mumbai (EK502/503) and Ahmedabad (EK538/539) will both see the new A350 from October 27, while Colombo’s fourth daily flight (EK654/655) will use the aircraft from January 1, 2025.
  3. Europe: Emirates will fly to Lyon and Bologna daily with the A350 starting December 1, while Edinburgh will rejoin the Emirates network on November 4.

Enhancing the Customer Experience

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, described the A350 as “a game-changer,” noting that it will bring superior efficiency and flexibility to regional destinations in the Middle East, West Asia, and Europe. He emphasized how the A350 reflects Emirates’ commitment to high-quality cabin products, such as the highly regarded Premium Economy, and will enhance entertainment and comfort for passengers.

Emirates’ A350 aircraft provide a spacious, quiet cabin with high ceilings, ample storage, and customizable lighting designed to minimize fatigue and jet lag. Further seat and cabin features will be announced soon, promising passengers the best travel experience.

With a total of 65 A350-900s on order, Emirates will expand its fleet to align with Dubai’s D33 economic agenda, aiming to include 400 cities in Dubai’s foreign trade map over the next decade.
