Korean Air Expands Fleet with More Airbus A321neo Aircraft

Korean Air is expanding its fleet and recently ordered 20 more Airbus A321neo planes. This comes as part of the airline’s broader plan to enhance operational safety, sustainability, and the overall passenger experience.

Inside the A321neo: Comfort and Connectivity

The Korean Air A321neo is designed with passengers in mind. The aircraft has a two-class layout with 182 seats in total. Prestige Class, the airline’s premium offering, has eight fully lie-flat seats. For those flying economy, there are 174 seats available. The Airbus A321neo also features an Airbus Airspace cabin, which is all about giving passengers a more comfortable and ambient experience. And don’t worry about losing touch with the world below; the plane offers Wi-Fi access to all passengers.

Jong Seok (Jason) Yoo, the Executive Vice President and Chief Safety & Operating Officer at Korean Air, emphasized the airline’s dedication to both sustainability and exceptional service. “The A321neo is aligned with Korean Air’s commitment to reducing carbon footprint while providing exceptional services. Its contemporary design, advanced technology, and spacious interior redefine the travel experience,” he said.

This will include not just the additional 20 A321neos but also 10 Boeing 787-9s, 20 Boeing 787-10s, and 30 Boeing 737-8s. As part of this modernization effort, Korean Air will also phase out its older A330-300s and Boeing 777-200ERs.
