Pursue your flight attendant goal like there’s no other option

If you want something bad, you will do all to achieve it. When you want a toy from your parents, you will cry all you want until your parents buy you that toy. In life, there is no choice but to breathe to stay alive. No second option. If you want something as bad as you want to live, you will achieve it. Hence, pursue your goal of being a flight attendant like you have no other option. Pursue it as though there is no other goal in this world but that. No second option.

Here is a real-life story where there is no option but to fight your way and win, no matter how bad the situation is.

No option but to fight or get killed

On June 6, 1944, the Western Allies launched a beachhead invasion to regain control of France from the Germans. This was the Normandy Invasion, otherwise known as D-Day or Operation Overlord. Everything was against the allies regarding terrain, weapons, position, and weather conditions. They were up against the Nazi’s MG-42 machine gun that could fire 1,200 rounds per minute.

The Germans were in a Fortress called the Atlantic Wall, armed with artillery, 380mm guns, and MG-42 machine guns. In front of the Atlantic Wall is Normandy Beach with landing craft obstructions, barbed wire, mines, pill boxes, and spikes. The weather at that time was stormy, and the allies faced sea sickness while traversing the English Channel. Upon landing at the beach of Normandy, where they encountered heavy gunfire, artillery rounds, mines, and obstacles, the allies had no other option but to fight. It is either they fight or die. Despite the odds, the allies were victorious in taking out the Germans, all because of the human spirit.

They did not have an option B which was to retreat. They simply had no other choice but to fight. No option.

Pursue your flight attendant goal as though there is no other option

This is why some we recommend cabin crew aspirants pursue their goal of being a flight attendant like there’s no option. Having a “fallback” mindset may not make you 100%. “Oh, if I cannot become a cabin crew, I’ll just work in the corporate world.” “Oh, if I don’t get to fly, it’s okay; at least I tried. I’ll apply somewhere else.” Options! They kill our burning desire to push ourselves to turn our cabin crew dream into a reality. Yes, people will tell you to be on the safe side by having options or choices aside from becoming a cabin crew so that you have a fallback. Guess what? Having an option or fallback can kill that spirit in you to push and push yourself harder to become a cabin crew.

Here is a suggestion. How bad do you want to become a cabin crew? How bad do you believe that this one is really for you? If you believe and you 101% believe that you are meant for this, then pursue your flight attendant dream as though there is no other option or choice in this world for you but that. Try to put in mind that you have no other choice but to be a flight attendant. Things may work your way.

It is simply like drowning. When you are in the middle of deep water, you have no choice but to fight yourself way up in order to breath. If you don’t you will die. There is simply no option.

Pursuing your goal like there is no option will keep that burning desire alive

Pursue your cabin crew dreams like no other option or choice. Yes, you may face rejections but see them as an opportunity to improve yourself and be better. Listen to advice. Work hard to improve yourself. Be diligent in applying; every experience will eventually become a good lesson for you. When you push for your cabin crew dream like there is no other option or choice in this world, watch how your spirit takes over until the next thing you know, you are, right on the stage, earning your wings.
