Yes, There Will Be an Airline Named “Really Cool Airlines”

A new Thai carrier is preparing to enter the aviation industry with a fresh approach to air travel. “Really Cool Airlines” is set to announce its flight routes by the end of June and begin operations by the end of the year. Under the leadership of CEO Patee Sarasin, the airline aims to revitalize Thailand’s aviation industry and tourism sectors, focusing on international flights and enhanced safety.

A Different Kind of Airline

Really Cool Airlines distinguishes itself with a unique name and a promise to deliver an extraordinary passenger experience. The airline’s slogan, “We Fly the Future,” encapsulates its goal of blending elements of luxury and budget travel. While offering prices for international flights comparable to low-cost carriers, Really Cool Airlines intends to maintain high safety standards, exceptional customer service, and top-quality products similar to luxury carriers.

Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt welcomes the new Thai carrier, emphasizing the crucial role airlines play in developing smart cities. He notes that, in addition to providing an extraordinary passenger experience, the airline will contribute to the recovery of Thai tourism. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has set a target of attracting 30 million foreign tourists this year, which is about 80% of the 39 million visitors in the pre-Covid-19 year of 2019. To reach this goal, the agency acknowledges the necessity of increasing the number of airlines and flights serving the country.

Fleet Decisions and Route Network

In terms of fleet management, Really Cool Airlines is currently in discussions with aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing. Although the number of aircraft the airline plans to acquire is still uncertain, the presence of the Airbus A350 painted with the airline’s livery on its website suggests that Airbus widebodies will be among the first additions to the fleet.

The airline has yet to reveal its route network but is expected to operate several international routes from Bangkok to popular destinations in Asia, Australia, and Europe. This strategy aligns with Thailand’s objective of attracting at least 30 million foreign tourists this year.

As a startup airline that pledges to enhance the passenger experience through innovation and prioritize safety in every aspect, Really Cool Airlines has generated significant anticipation even before announcing its route network. Keep an eye on the calendar for June when the route network is set to be unveiled, and December when the airline plans to commence operations. With the countdown on its website indicating only 188 days remaining, it won’t be long before passengers can experience this exciting new carrier firsthand.
